At first blush not much has been done since the 20-Oct posting. A fair amount of cosmetic work has been done. The granite countertops have been installed along with the sinks in the bathrooms and kitchen. All floors have been swept out in preparation for flooring installation. Several additional loads of dirt were hauled in to level off the yard in preparation for laying sod which will be centipede. You can’t see it but the irrigation system has been installed. There will be five zones for irrigation. The irrigation system is connected to a separate water meter to keep the cost down. Fairhope, for a standard water meter connection, you are charged for the amount of water used and this cost is about doubled for sewer costs. For the irrigation, I am only charged for just water with no sewer charge. Supposedly pays for itself in a couple of years.
If you look at the shot of the house you will also see it is quite wet. We have had a fair amount of rain over the past couple days because of the remnants of hurricane Patricia which formed in the Pacific and crossed Mexico into the gulf. The sod was to have been laid today – but will ba couple more days before it is laid. The rain should end this evening.
